The single After the Storm
They recently released the single “After the Storm”. The song talks about the transformative power that life’s tempestuous difficulties can cause. It shows that, after the bad times, the good ones will always come. Having strength, resilience, patience and focus will determine your success in overcoming all obstacles, getting to enjoy the later benefit of human evolution.
In the music video, the band intelligently uses influences that take us back to MAD MAX, THE 100 and even STAR WARS. Visually, the post-apocalyptic setting illustrates the weight of a life fraught with obstacles. It draws how difficulties can evolve a person, even in the cruelest way.
“After the storm” is a powerful song, capable of showing us that, despite the problems, everything will pass and the most complex trajectories will be responsible for our maturation.
Julieta has a lot of personality and that remains present from start to finish, whether with her powerful vocals printed in the song, or in her performance in the video. At the end of “After the Storm” there is a vocalized and enveloping sigh that packs the ending that the single deserves.
Highlight for the choir backing vocal in the middle of the song. Great instrumental drums, guitar (high point for guitar solos).
About K Ä L A D
Julieta Ruiseco and Mario Dorantes started K Ä L A D releasing “Sail Away”, their first single on the eve of the pandemic, followed by the homonym “Kalad”, a single that reached the ranking of the 100 favorites of Mexican Metal.
With these two singles, K Ä L A D would define a classic style of Symphonic Metal in their compositions, accompanied by dense atmospheres where they tell stories of intimate romantic adventures while their melodies transport us to a world of poetry and passion where a theme will always be the inspiration: the sea.
K Ä L A D’s musical style would complete itself after the incorporation of Gus Calavera (guitarist and composer) into the band, with the release of their third single “Inner Tide” in February 2022, and always inspired by the tales of the sea and its mysteries, this song would eventually define the band’s musical style.
Julieta Ruiseco, Mario Dorantes, Gus Calavera and Alex Medina reinvent themselves to deliver continuity and a worthy position in the Latin American metal scene.
